Checkd Group Announces New Digital PR Team

Checkd Group has announced it would enrich its media division with a brand new digital PR team led by newly appointed James Dixon

Sports betting media and technology service provider that creates sports betting content and technology solutions for global sportsbooks, Checkd Group, has announced it would boost its media division. 

The group will create a dedicated digital PR team aimed at improving the organic search performance of its main platforms in North America and the UK.

Checkd, Ready to Amplify Its Brands

James Dixon has been appointed as head of digital PR at Checkd Media, which is the group’s division aimed at content and marketing. 

With backup from his team, Dixon will work to boost the visibility of the group’s proprietary brands, including The Winners Enclosure, FlashPicks, and Footy Accumulators while also amplifying its brands all across South America, the US, Canada, and the UK

The newly formed digital PR crew will also be busy expanding digital PR services to external partners, thus making sure to improve the group’s offerings in terms of performance marketing.

Dixon has gathered 10 years of experience in the iGaming industry and he is also a former journalist. Before reaching Checkd Group, he worked for BonusFinder, helping it expand its visibility in international markets.

Clever Minds Joining the New Team

He will be joined by Liam Conroy and George Rogan as digital PR managers. The team will also count Charlie Giblin as digital PR executive

Commenting on the establishment of the new in-house team, Dixon called it “a key moment for the trajectory of the Organic team” that will reunite an industry-leading team made of passionate and well-experienced individuals. 

He added that the new team will be “living and breathing the brands” while using forward-thinking to generate new strategies for the group’s brands.

The group’s managing director, Alex Beecham, described the setup of the new digital PR team as a “watershed moment.”

As explained by the group on its website, their “love of sport is the heart of the Checkd Group team and culture.” Checkd is passionate about sports and focuses on improving the betting experience both in terms of product and conversation while considering the sports betting industry as an essential part of the wider entertainment industry. 

In mid-February, Checkd Group partnered with boxing sports expert ID Sports Media for the launch of a new Boxing News app.

In May 2023, the group teamed up with Voxbet to include the latter’s AI-powered voice recognition technology into its Betting Hub app

The integration was necessary to simplify customers’ betting journeys as well as the process of choosing the markets they would like to bet on next.
