Arizona Online Casinos

Online gambling in Arizona has long been the perennial prey of legislative sessions. Luckily for local punters, sports betting went live on September 9, 2021, but online casinos have not yet followed suit.
Legislators have long debated the merits of introducing iGaming, but they were hesitant to do so in 2023.
Now that more states are openly adopting online casinos, Arizona may look closer at an activity that is touted to rake in a lot of additional revenue and curb black market spending. Here, we will discuss the best Arizona online casinos, their regulatory status, and where you may find them.

Are Online Casinos Legal in Arizona?
As noted, online casinos are not legal in Arizona and there is no particularly strong outlook that they will be in a hurry – at least at the time of writing. As 2024 draws to an end there has been no significant momentum building up for online casino legislation in the state just yet.
The fact that many offshore gambling sites target consumers in Arizona could galvanize action on a legislative level, with lawmakers setting aside their political brinkmanship and working together to push relevant laws through the legislature.
Of course, there are certain challenges with this plan, as garnering support for online casinos will meet with some resilience from the 26 federally recognized tribes, many of which operate their land-based casinos.
A gesture of goodwill would be to ensure that the tribal casinos have a say in how regulation happens. Historically, the record shows that there have been no concentrated efforts to push online casinos in the state, and this is likely to remain unchanged over the coming months, with sports betting continuing to grow in the meantime.
If you insist on playing online casinos in Arizona legally, you may try some of the social and sweepstakes options, but even those could be outlawed in the state at a time when states are taking closer scrutiny against this model en masse.
Legal Online Casino Options in Arizona
Sweepstakes casinos are allowed in Arizona, and they are the only “legal” gambling option that involves casino-style gaming. Players will not be able to play for real money, but they may experience many popular games that are otherwise found in licensed casinos elsewhere. Some of the popular options in the state to register at and play include:
- WOW Vegas
- High 5 Casino
- Pulsz
- Chumba Casino
- McLuck
Please note that sweepstakes and social casinos do not offer real money prizes. They do have a roundabout way of allowing you to cash out your rewards for hard currency, however, and they are increasingly coming under scrutiny because of that. Nevertheless, the use of sweep coins or other alternative payments is still available in the state. Players may enjoy casino slots, and there is no obligation to commit real currency.
Mobile Arizona Casinos
Arizona’s only mobile online casinos are those that are available as part of the social and sweepstakes model. You can access these casinos freely on your smartphone or tablet, download them from the Google Store or Apple Play, and play on the go. However, you may not play casino games online for real money.
Arizona Casinos with Table Games
Table games are in fact available across Arizona’s 27 tribal casinos. The casinos feature both slot games as well as live dealer games such as baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, and many others. Players can find a fantastic variety of table games. Only locations operated by Native American tribes right now offer regulated casino games. Since 2021, these venues have also offered sports betting, complementing the existing gambling experience.
Responsible Gambling in Arizona
As online and in-person gambling is becoming more popular in Arizona, it’s important to be aware of what responsible gambling initiatives and campaigns are available locally. Outside of regulated sportsbooks’ efforts to promote the regulated gambling market, there are several other resources to explore.
The Arizona Department of Gambling offers support to players via its helplines. Those include 1-800-NEXT-STEP which is a landline you can call, or you can alternatively text to NEXT-STEP-53342 as taking the first step may be intimidating when calling a phone line.
Players may also request to be excluded from gambling in the state and have their names in a state list of gamblers who may not gamble at authorized venues. There is also the National Council on Problem Gambling and Gamblers Anonymous, which you may also contact for help.
