Irish National Lottery Ticket Hits $4.1M Jackpot

The Irish National Lottery announced that a player from Dublin has won the €3,796,062 jackpot (approximately $4.1 million). Lottery officials and the lottery’s official website urged players from the Irish capital to check their tickets and compare the winning numbers with Saturday’s drawing.

Sarah Orr, a spokesperson for the lottery, noted that the winner is likely to be in shock. She advised the lucky player to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. In addition, players should contact lottery officials.

They [the winner] should then contact our prize claims team who will make arrangements for the winner to visit Lotto HQ to collect their jackpot prize.

For context, the winning numbers in the drawing on May 11 were 08, 16, 24, 27, 28 and 42. The bonus number stood at 30. The ticket that matched all winning numbers marks the fourth lottery jackpot for 2024. Previous prizes were won by players in Dublin, Louth and Limerick.

In addition to the lucky jackpot winner, over 81,000 players across Ireland won various prizes on Saturday.

The National Lottery noted that it will announce the store where the winning ticket was bought tomorrow.
