Betty Bolsters Global Growth via Franchise Model
The iGaming company remains at the cutting edge of innovation, recording continued success via its flexibility and willingness to explore unorthodox solutions

Female-focused online casino operator Betty has pioneered an innovative strategy for franchise-style expansion as it seeks to expand its operations across regulated jurisdictions. Its novel approach to localizing operations aligns with the company’s ambitions to become “McDonald’s of iCasino,” leveraging a standardized yet adaptable international expansion model.
Decentralization Brings Substantial Benefits
Betty introduced its vision of a decentralized franchise model in a recent Q4 shareholder report focusing on the company’s global expansion strategy. This novel strategy will empower local managers to create independent operations under the Betty brand, granting them access to Betty’s IP, technology, operating framework, and startup capital to launch localized casino platforms in their respective regions.
The model puts substantial responsibility on local franchise owners to handle licensing, team-building, market-specific branding, and day-to-day operations. These tasks require diverse skills and a deep understanding of the gambling market and local regulations and should attract top-tier talent. Group CEO Justin Park was highly optimistic about this model and its potential applications.
We are starting to develop the confidence that our product and operating philosophy can catapult us into becoming the world’s largest gaming and entertainment brand.
Justin Park, Betty Group CEO
Park hopes that by decentralizing its global expansion, Betty can avoid some of the pitfalls of corporate models. The company’s end goal is to achieve scalability in an entirely different way. A franchise-like approach also makes it easier to combine the group’s brother industry experience with local knowledge, ensuring its offerings resonate with local audiences and bolstering the brand’s broader recognition.
Initial Results Show Promise
Betty has already taken the first steps toward its plan. Betty Canada, the company’s first franchise, has already demonstrated the merits of this model. Located in Ontario, the branch is headed by co-founder Chavdar Dimitrov as CEO and backed by an experienced team ready to prove their mettle and demonstrate they can excel despite challenging market conditions.
Park added that Betty USA and Betty LatAm presented significant opportunities for near-term expansion under the new model. Evolving market conditions like Brazil’s newly opened regulated market mean these jurisdictions can drive significant long-term growth. Betty’s recent pivot to developing its games in-house should also aid these ambitions, adding value to the company’s portfolio and creating new licensing opportunities.
Despite these sweeping updates, Betty will remain faithful to its core principles. A focus on community-based play, gamification, and transparency has allowed the company to excel among female audiences, and its customer-centric approach has resonated across all demographics. Betty must now prove that its franchise offshoots can maintain the same consistent quality and brand integrity.
