Responsible Online Gaming Association is making an important step in building a strong base to further enhance the gambling industry’s responsible gaming efforts.
ROGA to Launch New Initiative
Recently, the Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA) commenced an initiative to support operators’ continued commitment to responsible gaming standards. The Request for Proposal (RFP) process aims to create a certification program that will aid in keeping solid gaming standards to protect players from things such as harmful gambling practices, and also keep gaming fun and enjoyable.
The ROGA is an independent association that consists of eight of the largest online gambling companies in the United States. It was launched in March of last year and its members are committed to promoting evidence-based best practices for responsible gaming. The current members of the association are: DraftKings, FanDuel, bet365, BetMGM, Fanatics, Hard Rock Digital, Penn Entertainment, and Bally’s.
ROGA is further involved in educating the public and creating awareness initiatives aimed at consumers and the industry. The association’s newest initiative aims to improve the standards of the gambling industry by creating a responsible gaming framework that covers crucial areas.
These include self-exclusion, employee training, corporate policy, and more. According to the ROGA’s aims, the initiative should boost operators’ confidence in their existing responsible gaming practices and policies. It’s also hoped that this would further emphasize the culture of progress and ongoing advancement that set responsible gaming into the patrons’ experience. So far, the association has committed more than $20 million to responsible gambling initiatives.
