IGT Secures Awards at ICE, Pens Deal with LOTTO Thüringen
IGT powers over half of the US lotteries and two thirds of the top 25 lotteries in the world

International Game Technology, a global leader in gaming content, announced that it has secured two awards at ICE Barcelona. In the meantime, the company penned a multi-year agreement with Germany’s Thuringian State Lottery.
IGT Secures Prestigious Awards
IGT just announced that it has been “recognized with top honors” in two prominent award programs at ICE Barcelona. The company, which secured two prestigious accolades, once again proved its skill in the development of cutting-edge gaming content.
IGT confirmed that its IGT LotteryLink was named Lottery Product of the Year at the International Gaming Awards, one of the annual award programs held at ICE. This awards program is underpinned by a panel of industry professionals and recognizes best-in-class suppliers and operators.
IGT officials commented on the noteworthy recognition, saying that they are honored to have LotteryLink named as Lottery Product of the Year. Jay Gendron, COO of global lottery at IGT said:
This celebrates our consistent innovation and commitment to delivering best-in-class lottery solutions. IGT LotteryLink reinvents the way lottery tickets are sold in stores, offering universal applicability and ease-of-use for global lotteries and retailers.
Jay Gendron, COO global lottery, IGT
In the meantime, IGT secured the Best Diversity and Inclusion Employer award at the European Casino Awards – another industry-leading program judged by a panel of experts that recognizes technical and practical excellence for operators and suppliers. This notably marks the fourth year in a row in which IGT has secured this award.
Brian Blake, IGT’s vice president of talent, culture & inclusion noted that IGT has secured this award for the fourth consecutive year thanks to its intense efforts to promote inclusion and make every employee feel validated.
IGT’s company-wide DEI initiatives support our belief that diversity, equality and inclusion are crucial to the value we create in the market, and we will continue to build work environments that prioritize the needs of our employees.

IGT to Upgrade LOTTO Thüringen’s System
In the meantime, IGT also announced that, through its subsidiary IGT Global Services, has penned a seven-year deal to supply technology to the Thuringian State Lottery (LOTTO Thüringen) in Germany. Under the deal, IGT will power the lottery with its retail central system technology, Aurora and relevant software upgrades.
The contract term will commence in March 2026 when the upgraded platform goes live.
IGT clarified that Aurora is an integral part of its OMNIA – an omnichannel solution designed for lotteries. The Aurora platform will reinforce LOTTO Thüringen’s business with intuitive, user-friendly tools and will handle its transaction processing, game management and back-office operations.
LOTTO Thüringen has used IGT’s products and solutions for years and has decades-long relationship with the supplier. The lottery’s CEO, Jochen Staschewski, praised the system upgrade, saying:
Upgrading our central retail system to IGT’s advanced platform and back-end software will enable us to streamline our business processes and continue operating with the highest levels of efficiency.
Jochen Staschewski, CEO, LOTTO Thüringen
IGT is well known for its robust lottery solutions and is the primary tech provider of 8 of the 10 top lotteries in the world.
