  • However, the jackpot remained elusive and unclaimed

The Tuesday Mega Millions drawing has crowned no winner of the game’s top prize. However, a lucky ticket holder in Indiana managed to scoop up a $2 million prize from the drawing.

Indiana Player Gets $2M from Mega Millions

Yesterday’s Mega Millions drawing did not award the jackpot, allowing it to reach new heights. At the time of the drawing, the elusive top prize stood at $195 million with a cash option of $86.3 million. In order to win it, players had to match all six winning numbers.

For context, the numbers drawn were 12, 22, 50, 51, and 55, plus the gold Mega Ball 10.

While no one matched the correct combination, one player narrowly missed the jackpot after matching only the white numbers. As a result, they will take home $2 million instead.

There were also nine players who won the game’s third-tier prize after matching four white numbers and the Mega Ball. Six of them will get $20,000 each, while the remaining three will take prizes of $30,000 each due to their 3X multiplier.

Since the jackpot wasn’t won, it has now reached $215 million, finally surpassing the $200 million mark. A hypothetical winner would be able to either take the annuity option for the full sum, or the one-time lump sum option of $95.2 million.

There Have Been Two Mega Millions Winners for 2026

So far this year, only two players have won Mega Millions jackpots. The first winner was a lucky player in Illinois who matched all winning numbers. A few days later, she came forward to claim the jaw-dropping $536 million sum.

Only two drawings after this, a player in Ohio won a $60 million jackpot on St. Patrick’s Day. The winner turned out to be not a single player, but the Happy Trails Trust.

In the meantime, the Powerball game just awarded Match 5 and Match 5 + Power Play prizes to almost a hundred players after an unlikely winning combination matched common player patterns.
