The Saturday TattsLotto drawing resulted in a AUD 2.1 million (approximately $1.5 million) windfall for the lucky Lynbrook man. The winner was one of the three division one winners, with the total division prize pool standing at AUD 6.4 million ($4.6 million).

The Lynbrook winner was contacted by lottery officials who confirmed him as the winner of the mouth-watering prize. Speaking to them, the lucky man said that he could hardly believe his luck and noted that he immediately checked the ticket after he was contacted about a big win.

While he thought he might have won division two or three, he was surprised to see that he was the winner of a division one prize.

When I checked my ticket… holy hell! It doesn’t feel real. It’s just fantastic. I’ve been playing forever and this has come at the best time.

The lottery revealed that the man had purchased the winning ticket from Lynbrook Village News & Lotto at the Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre. As it turns out, this was the fourth division one winning ticket sold in that store’s history. However, the last big win happened almost a decade ago.

Julie Zhang, the shop’s owner, congratulated the player on their incredible success and wished him to fully enjoy his win. She added that she hopes more of her customers end up as winners.
