Week Kicks Off without Powerball Winner, Jackpot at $143M
While the big prizes did not land, ten players matched four white numbers and the Powerball to win the game’s third-tier prize
The Monday Powerball drawing has passed, electing no jackpot or Match 5 winner. The game’s top prize is now nearing $150 million as the Wednesday drawing approaches.
There Were Ten Match 4+ Winners
The Powerball drawing that took place on April 27 saw participants play for a $131 million jackpot with a cash option of $59.5 million. Unfortunately for the players, the jackpot remained elusive. At the same time, no one was lucky enough to match the five white numbers to win the game’s second-tier prize either, although almost a dozen players won third-tier ones.
For reference, the numbers drawn on Monday were as follows: 18, 31, 33, 36, and 62, plus the red Powerball 3. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 3x.
While the big prizes did not land, ten players matched four white numbers and the Powerball to win the game’s third-tier prize. Seven of them thus won $50,000 each, while the remaining three had the Power Play feature active, taking home $150,000 each, instead.
In the meantime, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow and is currently standing at $143 million for the Wednesday drawing. A hypothetical winner would also be able to pick the one-time lump-sum option for an instant payout of $65 million.
The Most Recent Jackpot Was Won Earlier This Month
It has now been almost a month since the last Powerball jackpot was awarded. The most recent top prize went to a player in Delaware who got $231 million richer after winning one of the early April drawings.
More recently, a ticket-holder in Michigan, won $1 million. This came after a previous drawing awarded two Match 5 prizes of $1 million to players in New York and Oregon.
