Betsson Launches Namesake Brand in Italy

According to Betsson, the StarCasinò brand will continue to operate, co-existing with its namesake brand, Betsson.it

Betsson, an international gambling operator, announced the launch of its flagship brand in Italy. Described as a “strategic move,” the launch will solidify the company’s presence in the country and cement it as a “preeminent global brand.”

Betsson is no stranger to the Italian market. The operator has, for over a decade, operated the renowned StarCasinò brand in Italy, providing it with years of experience and a profound knowledge of the local player base. The brand is well-known among sports fans thanks to its support of a variety of soccer clubs, including SSC Napoli, Torino FC, U.S. Sassuolo, FC Palermo, AS Roma, ACR Messina, S.S. Juve Stabia and Italy’s Serie B.

According to Betsson, the StarCasinò brand will continue to operate, co-existing with its namesake brand, Betsson.it.

Betsson.it, according to its parent company, will engage players with a diverse portfolio of exciting betting offerings, relevant sports markets and a myriad of slots, table games and live casino products.

Betsson Pursues International Expansion

Betsson’s launch in Italy demonstrates the company’s desire to elevate the flagship brand and grow its global presence. The company’s business model also includes diverse marketing initiatives and global sponsorships, allowing it to further appeal to fans.  

Ronni Hartvig, Betsson Group’s chief commercial officer, commented on the deal, saying that Italy is a market of great importance to his team. He said that his company decided that this was an “opportune moment” to also introduce Betsson in the country.

The launch of Betsson.it follows the launch of the Betsson brand in other key markets, including key LATAM jurisdictions. Speaking of Latin America, the company recently former sponsorship partnerships with major local soccer clubs, such as the Boca Juniors and Racing Club in Argentina and Atlético Nacional in Colombia.

In other news, Betsson just teamed up with Abelson Info, which agreed to power the gambling company with its cutting-edge soccer pricing solution. Earlier, Betsson announced its re-entry into the Netherlands thought the acquisition of Holland Gaming Technology.
