Sportradar Signs With WSC Sports to Provide AI-Powered Video Highlights

Sportradar has announced a partnership with WSC Sports to provide live video notifications for sports betting operators using the proprietary technology of the AI video provider.

In-App Integrations, Video-Based Features to Follow

Sportradar has launched the industry’s first ‘Live Video Notification’ push service in a partnership with the leader in AI-powered sports video content, WSC Sports. The innovative solution will give the opportunity to sportsbooks to deliver real-time highlights to customers through push notifications. The highlights will be created via WSC Sports proprietary machine-learning platform, which is able to identify the events occurring during live broadcasts.

Sportsbooks can take advantage of 17 different sports covering over 150 leagues and broadcast partners globally available through WSC’s AI automated video production platform. The live video push notifications and highlights are aimed to support bookmakers when it comes to increasing fan engagement.

“As the market is continually moving forward, we are constantly looking to provide our clients with new and innovative ways to engage with fans.”

Patrick Mostboeck, Sportradar’s Global Director Video and Streaming Products

Mostboeck added that Live Video Notification is a revolutionary tool that provides near-live video highlights with a superb quality, which will attract app users and eventually boost sportsbooks’ revenues. The debut of Live Video Notification is the first result stemming from the partnership between the Tel Aviv sports-tech studio and Sportradar.

Yuval Benyamini, Head of Betting at WSC Sports, highlighted the company’s plans to expand its portfolio of engaging products that will help betting operators position themselves ahead of competitors through personalized content and better use of streaming rights.

WSC Sports Adds Partners During Covid-19

WSC Sports’ artificial intelligence services are becoming even more popular, as events are still running without or with a limited audience due to Covid-19 restrictions. Last week, international off-road racing series Extreme E announced it will use WSC Sports cloud-based live-clipping platform, Clipro, to create near-live and post-race highlights. Extreme E pointed out that the partnership will allow them to share content quickly, as fans will not attend the races on site.

WSC Sports has expanded its network further with the recent partnership with Liga Puerto Rico, the semi-professional soccer league part of the Puerto Rican Football Federation. WSC Sports will create highlights for both the men’s and women’s teams, which will promote the league in Puerto Rico and abroad.

Earlier this year, FanDuel announced the launch of golf events highlights on its mobile app under an agreement with WSC Sports. The iGaming operator was thrilled to announce that the partnership marks the debut of highlights creation by a US-based gambling company.
