The 24-year-old started his professional boxing career in January 2020. Besides Woodley, he fought and won fights against Ali Loui Al-Fakhri, aka AnEsonGib, and Nate Robinson, as well as Ben Askren. Although Woodley had a significant career within MMA, this was the first boxing match. Woodley, nicknamed The Chosen One, had four UFC losses in a row before losing to Paul.
