In this case, the fortunate player opted to claim the lump sum option, becoming Massachusetts’ latest millionaire.

The Player Claimed the Prize Through a Trustee

The winning ticket, for context, was sold at Northside Market & Liquors in Bedford. The store is set to receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winner preferred to remain anonymous and collected their winnings through trustee Greg Racki, a member of the Merjon Tangovan Nominee Trust of Boston. Mr. Racki told lottery officials that his client said that the ticket had been the best birthday present ever.

The prize was claimed by Racki on behalf of their client in July and was notably the first time anyone has won the grand prize from the Lifetime Millions scratch game. Originally launched in February, the game provides players with a shot at some life-changing prizes.
