Hard Rock Empowers Women in March’s WE ARE Campaign

WE ARE will see the company encourage women to share their personal stories, help uplift women’s narratives on critical issues and spotlight female performers

Hard Rock International is celebrating International Women’s Month with a new initiative and a partnership with an influential promoter of women’s health. The “WE ARE” campaign will see the casino and hospitality company champion women’s empowerment via a variety of activations.

As a part of the campaign, Hard Rock will team up with Eva Longoria, a businesswoman, director, actress and women’s rights activist.

WE ARE will see the company encourage women to share their personal stories, help uplift women’s narratives on critical issues and spotlight nearly 1,000 performances by female performers at Hard Rock venues.

A promotional limited-edition t-shirt featuring the new campaign will also be available. Hard Rock guests will furthermore be able to find a variety of new food and beverage items. These will include the Pink Lace Margarita, a cocktail inspired by the partnership with Longoria. A portion of the proceeds from the cocktail will be provided to Magee-Womens Research Institute and the Global Gift Foundation.

Hard Rock’s Café division, on the other hand, has teamed up with Women Who Rock (WWR) and will host a variety of concerts featuring female musicians such as Rhonda Smith, Orianthi and Cindy Blackman Santana, among others.

Cafes will also offer Spring Pasta, Mahi Burger, Berry Salad, Coconut Almond Sundae and the gin-based Run the World cocktail.

Longoria Praised Hard Rock’s Commitment

Elena Alvarez, Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International’s senior vice president of marketing and partnerships, addressed the new deal, highlighting the importance of empowering women.

While International Women’s Day is March 8 and Women’s History Month is March, we’ve dubbed Hard Rock’s celebration ‘International Women’s Month’, aiming to empower women and raise awareness for women’s health globally throughout March.

Alvarez added that her team is looking forward to working with Longoria, whom she lauded as a “strong women’s activist, artist and business owner.”

Speaking of Longoria, the businesswoman also commented on the matter, expressing her excitement about the tie-up with Hard Rock.  She praised the WE ARE initiative and its message, saying that it is very important to support women’s health, rights and societal issues.

Whether it’s International Women’s Month or any day of the year, I believe that by helping women, we build strong families, which results in creating powerful communities.

In other news, Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming recently reaffirmed their commitment to combating human trafficking.
