Evolution Launches Spanish Language Blackjack Games in Pennsylvania
Evolution, the developer of popular live casino games, is now importing its multi-regional experience back to the United States with dedicated titles for entire language groups
Evolution Gaming has extended its offering in the United States, with the company now launching Spanish-language blackjack games that will be available to players in Pennsylvania.
Evolution Launches Spanish Language Games in the USA
This means that anyone whose mother tongue is Spanish may opt for this type of game over the standard English option. Truth is, however, that Evolution is hardly trying to target monolingual players, and is more likely catering to the Hispanic crowd in the Keystone State, which is in most cases fluently bilingual.
Still, adding Spanish-language blackjack games is a nice touch. The company started rolling out these games on August 15, and they are available at certified and licensed Evolution partners in the Keystone State. The game is broadcast directly from its New Jersey live studio and has undergone an extensive testing period.
As a result, players can find popular takes of Evolution blackjack games such as VIP Blackjack en Español or even Infinite Blackjack, both hosted by professional native speakers who are bilingual in most cases. However, the game is played exclusively in Spanish, and you cannot prompt the dealers to answer in English.
Evolution may be eyeing more states to expand into, but it’s not clear if the company has any immediate plans, as there doesn’t seem to be Spanish language games launched in other states so far. Evolution has multiple operations across the United States and it’s essentially present in every major and regulated iGaming market country-wide.
Pennsylvania is a good state to get started with this product as well, as the state has a population of about 5% native Spanish speakers to whom the language is “native.” These are mostly American citizens, however, who are bilingual.
Spanish Speakers Are Untapped Opportunity for Suppliers
Nevertheless, Evolution has deemed it a good business decision to pursue and grow its Spanish language table offering in the United States, making for an outwardly strange and bold business decision.
A quick look tells you that New Jersey and Connecticut with around 13% of the population claiming Spanish as their first language could be the next frontier for Evolution’s Spanish-speaking games. It’s unclear how much of a business boost the company is expected to get.
Evolution is in the meantime caught amid a strike in Georgia where hundreds of employees have blamed the company for bad working conditions, and the company decided to cut up to 1,000 jobs.
