Chalkline Boosts Covers Acquisition Potential with F2P Games

Chalkline will provide popular sports media outlet Covers with free-to-play games in a bid to boost consumer engagement and improve the sports betting media’s offer. The pair will be introducing the “Covers Freeplay” which is a series of live odds prediction games that will be delivered by Chalkline.

The F2P pick’em and prop contests available through Covers Freeplay will allow Covers readers to further engage with the sports betting experience and leverage the website’s offer to the fullest.

Covers Directs Sports Fans to the Right Betting Choices

Covers expect the Chalkline tech know-how to lead to consumer retention and acquisition over the long term, leading to better overall results for all parties involved, including sports bettors. Commenting on this announcement, Chalkline CEO Daniel Kustelski added:

“Covers is one of the most well-known and respected brands in the sports betting content space.”

Adding Chalkline’s expertise to the mix, Kustelski argued, would allow Covers to continue to differentiate itself from what is shaping up to be an increasingly competitive industry.

Covers has been around since 1995 proving as one of the most resilient sources of betting information and a trusted go-to source for many bettors even before sports betting legalization in the US took its present-day dimensions.

Natural Evolution for Covers’ Product Portfolio

Commenting on this partnership, Covers head of marketing Andrew Garven said that the company has been able to grow double in size over the past 12 months, not least owing to the rapid growth of the sports betting industry in the US, adding:

“Leveling up our gaming and business intelligence capabilities is a natural progression in our company’s growth.”

The idea of adding F2P games is a natural evolution for Covers’ product, Garven argued, and one that will lead to more personalized solutions but also give recreational bettors the opportunities to learn and find out more about sports gambling in a safe and secure environment.

The Chalkline’s products are a trusted source of engagement for Covers and the Covers Freeplay product is a powerful acquisition tool, Garven concluded. Chalkline concluded a Series A funding round in $2.7 million in August.
