Betway Inks 1-Year Partnership with DOTA2 Team Beastcoast
Friday, September 18, the global betting brand Betway announced it inked a partnership with the Peruvian DOTA 2 team Beastcoast. With the 1-year partnership, the operator said that it continues to expand its esports portfolio. The partnership includes jersey branding but also player access which will enable Betway to bring the fans closer to the action. Beastcoast is a leading DOTA2 team for South America. So far, the team has won a total of $163,850 in prize money. Looking back to April, Beastcoast defeated NoPing eSports and became the winner of the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online: South America and Realms Collide.
Commenting on the subject, Nick Valencia, Vice President, Sales and Partnerships at Beast Coast said: “We’re excited to make waves across the Peruvian DOTA 2 scene with our new partnership with Betway.” He outlined that the players of the team have turned Beastcoast “into an esports team that fans across the country love and root for in every major event”.
According to Valencia, with the support of Betway, Beastcoast will be able to reveal more content which the fans of the team love. He added that the team is happy that its fans will be able to access never-before-seen content. Furthermore, Valencia said that Beastcoast has more exciting news about the course of partnership with Betway and vowed to share more details soon. “Our upcoming launch and show match are just the beginning, stay tuned,” concluded Valencia.
Betway Continues Its Esports Portfolio Expansion
The Head of Esports at Betway, Adam Savinson commented on the recent partnership by saying: “Beastcoast are the dominant force in South American DOTA 2 and therefore a natural choice to join the Betway family.“
He outlined that the company is eager to share its innovative approach to esports with one of the most passionate and dedicated fan bases in the esports industry. To celebrate the new partnership, Betway will host a show match with Beastcoast players and two Peruvian DOTA influencers on the Beastcoast Facebook Gaming channel. The live matches are set to be broadcasted on October 3.
Looking back in August, Betway inked multiple key partnerships in Spain. Over three weeks, the operator signed 3 soccer partnerships, effectively cementing its position in the country.
Elsewhere, back in May, the betting company Betway became a title sponsor for the BLAST DOTA 2 Tournament. The BLAST Bounty Hunt was the first competitive DOTA 2 event hosted by BLAST. The event featured a prize pool of some $145,000. Back in June, the tournament winners Team Secret took the grand prize of some $50,000.
