Abios Esports Widgets Boost for LeoVegas’ Esports Offering
Swedish online gambling operator LeoVegas entered into an agreement with Abios to utilize its esports widgets and boost fan engagement.
Engaging Content and Useful Statistics
The arrangement between LeoVegas and distributor of esports data Abios allows for the Abios Esports Widgets implementation across all digital channels of the online gambling firm to enhance its product offering and further engage with fans of esports.
Esports is growing in popularity for us and we are very happy to improve our customer experience by providing engaging content and useful statistics.”
Christian Polsäter, Director of Sports, LeoVegas
Augmenting LeoVegas’ current offering on several popular esports titles, including CS:GO, League of Legends and Dota 2, Abios Esports Widgets also elevate the user experience by offering pre-match data such as expected rosters, most picked and banned champions or heroes, win rate per maps and others.
Wagering on sports relies heavily on statistics and analytics and in esports and there are plenty of metrics punters consider prior to placing any bets. The customized widgets help bettors make informed decisions before the match has even started.
We are seeing a great demand and growth in esports betting. LeoVegas is offering a great player experience and we are proud to be able to help and leverage our products to enhance their offering further.”
Linus, Key Account Manager, Abios
By switching into live mode when the match begins, the widgets keep the punters engaged throughout the entire sporting event, allowing them to keep track of the match developments directly on the website while having access to historical or live statistics.
Widget Integration Complete
The process of widget integration across LeoVegas’ website and app began as a pilot in chosen esports markets. After the successful launch, a complete rollout for all esports offerings of the operator took place, including LeoVegas Group brands bet.uk and bet21.
LeoVegas’ development expertise and detailed and structured documentation, as well as the existing relationship with the esports data platform, recently acquired by Kambi, with other customers of the technology supplier, were key for the swift and fast integration of Abios Esports Widgets.
Earlier in the month, Abios and provider of sports betting technology and services Kambi agreed to the acquisition of the esports data supplier for an initial price of $17.2 million, with another payment of up to $13.8 million dependent on the future performance of the esports business, to offer the tech company a long-time coveted expansion into esports.
With 4 years experience as an analyst, Julie—or ‘Jewels’, as we aptly refer to her in the office—is nothing short of a marvel-worthy in her attention to the forex and cryptocurrency space as she quickly became the first pick to co-pilot education to the masses with Mike.
