BetClick Is the Next Sponsor of French Soccer National Teams

An online gambling operator enters into a partnership with a national sports governing organization, according to a report in L’Équipe, which revealed BetClick Group signed a deal with the French Football Federation (FFF).

We are delighted that Betclic is joining the circle of our partners. This new collaboration with a dynamic French company, a historical leader in its market, makes all the more sense since Betclic is invested and renowned in football.”

Sponsoring National Teams

The 5-year partnership deal BetClick signed with the FFF is worth between €5 million ($5.9 million) and €8 million ($9.4 million) per year, and is set to enhance brand awareness of the French-based online gambling company.

For more than fifteen years, Betclic has been a major player in French football, so we are very proud to become a partner of the teams of France, the Coupe de France and amateur football.”

Nicolas Béraud, Founder and CEO, Betclic

Under the terms of the deal, BetClick will serve as an official partner of the national soccer governing body until the next World Cup in 2026, sponsoring participation for all French national teams, as well as the Coupe de France and the country’s amateur soccer competitions.

We support its development notably through our partnerships with numerous clubs and the Professional Football League. Betclic will therefore be closer to French fans for the next international, national and local events in order to experience football like nowhere else and to exalt their passion for sport. This collaboration confirms Betclic’s commitment and support to the development of French sport.”

Supporting French Soccer

The sponsorship arrangement with the FFF expands the presence of the Bordeaux-based gambling operator in French soccer after a deal for the sponsorship rights of the Ligue de Football Professionnel in the summer of 2020 made it an official partner of both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 competitions throughout 2022/2023 season.

In this difficult period, this new partnership marks the attractiveness of the FFF and its activities with its French teams, the Coupe de France, the flagship competition of French football which brings together more than 7,000 professional and amateur clubs at each edition, and its two million practicing licensees, educators, referees and managers who share this common passion for football throughout France.”

Noël Le Graët, President, FFF

BetClick is replacing horse racing betting operator PMU as the major partner of the national soccer governing body. PMU had served as an official partner of the FFF for 12 years from the 2009/2010 soccer season until now.

The expansion of BetClick’s footprint in soccer followed an arrangement with the National Rugby League in France to become the league’s primary sports betting partner of the top-flight Top 14 professional rugby union club competition.
