888Africa Rolls out 888bet in Four Regional African Markets

888 Holdings has launched its sports betting brand, 888bet, through its local venture 888Africa in a number of regional markets, specifically Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, and Kenya. The move crowns the efforts of the company to expand its geographical footprint and customer base in the African region in an official and regulated capacity.

888Africa Makes a Splash with Four New Launches

888 has long eyed Africa as a highly promising market that remained untapped by some of its biggest rivals, paving the way for a decisive first stride there. 888 remains committed to Africa as part of its deeper corporate strategy which will bring growth, new revenue opportunities, and first dibs on an untamed market.

888Africa was founded earlier this year and led by Christopher Coyne, himself an ex-Goat Interactive CEO and The Stars Group CMO before that. Coyne was pleased with the new market launches, outlining a future in which 888 is a permanent player that guides sports betting trends and sets industry standards. Coyne said:

We are delighted to hit our target and launch into four regulated markets within six months of founding the business. This is an important milestone that provides us with fantastic opportunities for further expansion in the future.

Coyne is ambitious about the market, and he has reassured that the 888 brand, and all of its regional offshoots, have the strength, determination, and prowess to drive results and establish a real competitive advantage, building upon a market-leading proposition for the entire African region.

Pleased and Confident in Long-Term Company Success

“We look forward to introducing 888bet and its unique offer to new players across the region in the months ahead,” Coyne concluded. The launch was welcomed by 888 CEO Itai Pazner who was equally pleased to see the 888bet launch in the four markets and expand 888Africa’s reach in the continent.

Pazner said that it was the company’s utmost goal to establish new and valuable products that create true consumer value for customers in the African market, something that will be visible from the company’s efforts in the coming months. 888’s brands’ merits are there to help guide sports betting in the entire region, both executives suggested, with 888 truly embarking on rapid expansion across Africa.
