The SuperMotocross League Is Exploring Sports Betting Options
The popular motorsports league has become the latest to seek and capitalize on the added value that betting can bring with the help of a newly-mint partnership
The SuperMotorcross League is joining the long list of American (moto)sports organizations to tap into the power of regulated betting. With more than 30 states now offering legal sports wagering, The SuperMotocross League has signed a deal with ALT Sports Data to offer sports betting products in those states where the activity has been legalized.
ALT Sports Data to Elevate SuperMotocross League’s Betting
The league is a comparative laggard with NASCAR and F1 both embracing sports gambling to some extent and official sportsbook branding showing on NASCAR’s official channels and tracks. ATL Sports Data will tap into the SuperMotocross League’s official data and relay it to gearheads who are looking to place impactful wagers in real-time.
This data can then be used by bookmakers to offer relevant betting markets, including parlay wagers, which are by far the most popular type of bets, and are a preferred betting mode for the majority of sports fans. Commenting on the opportunities that the partnership presented, VP of Supercross for Feld Motor Sports, Inc., David Prater had this to say:
“Our official entry into the ever-expanding sports betting space has long been in the works and is a necessary next step in the growth process of the SMX World Championship Series.”
As Prater himself outlines, the league is set to tap into a new vertical that will coincide with some of the most significant events hosted by the league, and thus lead to stronger fan engagement. The league, Prater added, was very excited to be joining forces with ALT Sports Data.
Empowering Motosports Fans While Enhancing SMX’s Integrity
A similar sentiment was shared by ALT Sports Data, which is also looking forward to leveraging the popularity of the SuperMotocross League and offering new solutions for players.
“As the official sports betting data partner to the SMX League, we are thrilled to empower their massive and passionate global audience to have a stake in the outcome of SMX World Championship Series events,” Todd Ballard, co-founder and CMO of Alt Sports data said.
Ballard spoke highly of motocross as a sport, calling it one of the most exciting and engaging sports out there. The partnership is also backed by Integrity Compliance 360 which will ensure data accuracy and security, and further help reinforce the integrity of the competition.
That the SuperMotocross League is tapping into the popularity of sports wagering is not surprising at all. Niche sports have been surging in popularity, boosting viewership numbers and interest.
Golf and tennis tables are two clear winners from the sports gambling boon, and NASCAR has enjoyed its fair share of increasing viewership as well.
