SIGA Forms Safer Gambling Partnership with EPIC Global Solutions
The SIGA encouraged its and EPIC Global Solution’s stakeholders to engage with this “groundbreaking initiative”

The Sports Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has teamed up with one of its members, EPIC Global Solutions, to set new safer gambling standards for sports betting. The alliance was formalized in a ceremony during the SIGA Summit on Female Leadership in Sport in New York.
The SIGA encouraged its and EPIC Global Solution’s stakeholders to engage with this “groundbreaking initiative.” Through its business development arm, SIGA Solutions, the alliance vowed to mitigate the negative effects gambling has on athletes, sports executives, employees and fans.
To that end, the partnership will see the SIGA and EPIC Global Solutions host workshops with lived experience coaches. Leveraging the experience of former athletes who have had a previous experience of gambling harm, this initiative will raise awareness of safer gambling practices.
In addition to that, the two partners will offer consultancy services, tailored to the needs of senior leaders and executives. Finally, the SIGA and EPIC will work on innovative brand/CSR programs aimed at sports fans and extending educational outreach into communities through learning establishments and businesses.
The Two Parties Are Looking Forward to Benefitting the Sports Sector
Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, SIGA’s global CEO and chairman & CEO of SIGA Solutions, and Paul Buck, founder and CEO of EPIC Global Solutions, commented on the partnership, calling it a “significant advance in the sport industry.” This arrangement, they said, would pioneer new education services, mitigate harm and foster a safer betting environment.
According to Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, the deal reflects a “pivotal moment” in the alliance’s ongoing efforts to protect the integrity of the sports sector. He said that the prevalence of addiction is, unfortunately, alarming, meaning that concerted action is needed.
Leveraging the combination of SIGA’s knowledge and EPIC’s expertise, we are set to embark on a transformative journey that will deliver the necessary solutions to safeguard Sport and its participants from harm, particularly those that are most vulnerable or susceptible to exploitation.

Paul Buck was likewise pleased about the tie-up and highlighted the synergies between the two organizations. He said that he is pleased to be furthering the relationship with SIGA and promoting the reduction of gambling harm and sports integrity issues.
We have created a strong network of elite partners across global sport, and look forward to supporting even more of the people involved with leading clubs, leagues and governing bodies through this relationship, delivering on the recommendations that we shared with professional sport through the release of our Gambling Harm Prevention in Sport Review white paper last year.

Buck vowed to leverage lived experience to minimize the risk of harm and integrity failings.
