Maryland Man Wins $1M from $20 Extreme Green Ticket

A man from the Dundalk community in Maryland has become a millionaire thanks to a fateful decision to buy a different ticket than the one he initially eyed. He described himself as a regular lottery player and expressed significant excitement about the win.

Extreme Green Dream Wins $1M

The man, going by the nickname Extreme Green Dream, bought the winning ticket while he was out with a group of friends. In a typical Extreme Green Dream fashion, as described by his wife, the man had decided to buy a $20 ticket for the Extreme Green Fast Play game instead of another $30 FAST PLAY ticket.

The man’s justification was that his wife might have gotten angry if she had learned that he had spent $30 on a ticket. His reluctance to go with the more expensive ticket, however, turned out to be the correct decision, as it netted him a $1,045,588 prize.

“I looked at it [the winning ticket] and my eyes rolled back in my head!” the winner said in an interview with lottery officials. While at Squire’s Restaurant at 6723 Holabird Avenue, the man told all of his friends about the win.

He was advised to sign the ticket by a Squire’s clerk and proceeded to immediately call his wife. However, once he came back home, Extreme Green Dream realized he had misplaced the ticket and began worrying before remembering that it was in his car.

Extreme Green Dream described himself as a regular lottery player. However, he his personal best win, prior to the recent jackpot, was a $1,500 score on a Keno ticket.

The winner told the lottery that he doesn’t plan to change his lifestyle. Despite being in retirement, he continues working in order to keep himself occupied – something he will continue doing. In addition, Extreme Green Dream has no plans on stopping to buy lottery tickets, admitting that he enjoys the thrill of it.

In the meantime, Squire’s, the shop that sold the winning ticket, will receive a $1,000 bonus.

Wisconsin Man Grabs $4.3M

Elsewhere, a lucky Wisconsin resident just won a whopping $4.3 million from Megabucks. This is notably the largest Megabucks lottery jackpot yet and took the man some 30 years of regular play to win.

Earlier, two lucky players from New Jersey shared a $150,000 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot. Several days after that, two more players secured wins of over $150,000.
