Jackpocket’s Powerball Market Share Increased in March

Jackpocket has published information about its performance in March, saying that it has been the single most successful month in its history. America’s number one lottery app also noted that an unprecedented number of people participated in Powerball via the Jackpocket app.

Jackpocket also reported experiencing its third-highest week in terms of order numbers and active participation in its history during the lead-up to the $1.33 billion Powerball jackpot.

Jackpocket is now available in 18 US jurisdictions. The company reported that it recorded a spike in activity in all these markets ahead of the $1.33 billion drawing. In Ohio, the activity went up by a whopping 51% on a week-on-week basis, Jackpocket announced. In New Jersey, New York, Texas and Massachusetts activity increased by 30%, 34%, 39% and 35% respectively.

Overall, Jackpocket users were responsible for a whopping 10% of all Powerball tickets in the country. The company reached an even higher market share in several states. In Arkansas, for example, 21% of all Powerball tickets that week were purchased via Jackpocket. The app’s Powerball market share in New York, New Jersey, Texas and Colorado, on the other hand, stood at 14%, 13%, 12% and 11% respectively.

The Company Helped Players Secure Millions in Prizes

In March, Jackpocket users won $7.6 million in Powerball prizes via tickets purchased on the platform. In total, customers won $13.3 million during the run that culminated with the jackpot drawing on April 6.

Peter Sullivan, Jackpocket’s co-founder and chief executive officer, commented on the matter, saying that the industry is in an “exciting era of unprecedented high jackpots.” He added that the most recent billion-dollar jackpot led to an unparalleled uptick in Powerball orders on the Jackpocket app.
