Pennsylvania Mega Millions Player Wins $1M Using Jackpocket

America’s leading lottery app, Jackpocket, announced that one lucky lottery player secured a million-dollar prize after ordering a ticket via the Jackpocket app. The company confirmed Wednesday that the lucky player lives in Pennsylvania but hit the Mega Millions $1 million prize while visiting New Jersey. Jackpocket did not disclose the identity of the lucky lottery player but confirmed that he didn’t win the Mega Millions jackpot after missing only the gold Mega Ball from the drawing on October 6.

Currently, Jackpocket has a presence in nearly two dozen states, offering customers an easy way to buy tickets for official state lotteries. Important gambling markets such as New Jersey, Ohio, Colorado and West Virginia, among others, are already among the states where Jackpocket’s lottery courier app is available.

Using Jackpocket, lottery players across the country have secured more than $400 million in prizes. This figure includes a record $9.4 million Pick-6 prize from New Jersey which was the single largest legal and regulated win via a mobile device in the United States.

Pete Sullivan, Jackpocket’s founder and CEO, shared his excitement about the latest win, revealing that Jackpocket is excited to see another lottery winner from New Jersey. The Million-Dollar Win Comes at the Perfect Time

Revealing further details, the lottery courier app said that the lucky New Jersey player purchased a ticket order with the app while he was with his brother. Once he received Jackpocket’s email notification labeled “You Won Big,” the lucky player’s first reaction was “No way.”

The New Jersey resident explained that he had been saving for an engagement ring for his girlfriend for some time. He added that he has been together with her for 10 years and wanted to buy her a ring, so the $1 million win came at the perfect moment. “So this came at the perfect time. Over the past 10 years, I’ve kept a log of what she likes. I think we found one,” the lottery player explained.

Recalling the day when he realized he won $1 million, the lottery player said that he had some chores planned. However, in light of the seven-figure win, he admitted to forgetting about the planned chores.

The lucky winner has an 8-month-old baby together with his girlfriend and besides a ring, he plans to find a new home as well. Undoubtedly, the latest win will help the couple in this important endeavor.
