As it turns out, there were three winners of seven-figure prizes in January.

Boca Raton Man Won $2M

According to the Florida Lottery, one of the biggest winners for January was Walkens Talabert, 56, of Boca Raton. The man won a $2 million prize from the lottery’s Double Diamond Cashword scratch-off game and visited the lottery HQ on January 5 to claim it.

According to the report, Talabert opted to take the one-time lump-sum payment of $1,189,600 before taxes. He bought the winning ticket from Publix, located at 19595 S. State Road 7 in Boca Raton.

For context, the $10 Double Diamond Cashword game featured four $2 million top prizes at launch. The one won by Talabert is the only one that has been won so far.

Pahokee Player Took Another $2M Prize

In addition to that, the Florida Lottery announced Lekisha Epps, 33, of Pahokee, as the recipient of a $2 million top prize from the lottery’s 100X The Cash scratch-off game. Epps visited the lottery HQ in Tallahassee on January 20, opting to claim the one-time payment of $1,111,700 rather than the annuity option.

According to the lottery, the winning ticket was sold at 379 Bacom Point Road in Pahokee.

According to the Florida Lottery’s official website, there are currently two versions of the $10 100X The Cash games still in sale. While one used to feature ten top prizes of $2 million, and the other four, now the two games have a single top prize remaining, each.

Miami Lottery Enthusiast Scooped Up $2M

The final winner of a seven-figure prize for January was Alejandro Morales, of Miami. The lucky player scooped up a $2 million top prize from the branded Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off game.

Morales visited the lottery’s Miami District Office on January 20 to claim his prize. Like the rest of the January winners, he chose the lump sum, thus taking home $1,153,865.00. The winning ticket was purchased from Winn Dixie, located at 11241 S.W. 40th Street in Miami.

The Monopoly Secret Vault game has four versions, costing $2, $5, $10, and $20 per ticket. Morales was enjoying the $10 one, which featured four top prizes at launch. As of the time of this writing, however, all of the top prizes have been won.
