CEGO Elects Allan Auning-Hansen as the Operator’s New CEO

Danish online casino site CEGO, which is behind the casino brands Spilnu and Lyckost, has found a new chief executive officer. Allan Auning-Hansen will be stepping in the CEO’s shoes and will be assuming the responsible role of guiding the company.

CEGO’s chairman, Jesper Karbrink, said that the operator welcomes Auning-Hansen and is placing trust in his exceptional track record. Karbrink is looking forward to working together with the new CEO and expanding CEGO’s scope. 

CEGO’s new CEO is no stranger to being in a role of responsibility. Previously Auning-Hansen has worked as the chief financial officer for the international Joe and the Juice brand, which owns a chain of restaurants across several continents. Additionally, he has experience as the senior manager of several other companies, including Danske Spil, Deloitte, and Qvartz Consulting.  

Auning-Hansen has been on CEGO’s board for a while now but will now be assuming a more active position in the company. 

He spoke on the matter by revealing he feels flattered to be chosen as a chief executive of what he considers to be an incredible organization. Auning-Hansen spoke that he intends to use CEGO’s years’ worth of data to push towards other markets within the regulated gambling industry. The CEO will use that to his advantage in order to adapt to the new markets. 

CEGO has already done this with its two brands – Spilnu, which operates in Denmark, and Lyckost, which operates in Sweden. 

Auning-Hansen will be continuing with this localized model that brings content tailored to the local preferences. 

Auning-Hansen’s Future Tasks as a CEO

As he said it himself, Auning-Hansen will now work together with the founders of CEGO in order to continue driving and growing the business. The CEO and the founders will look to expand their online gambling brands Spilnu and Lyckost and reach new international markets.

One of CEGO’s first points of focus will be the British gambling market as the online casino operator recently was approved for a license by Great Britain’s Gambling Commission. 

CEGO is currently one of the leading gambling operators in its local region. Its brand Spilnu has been a hit in Denmark for almost a decade because of its wide variety of games. Its other brand Lyckost was established in 2019 and targeted Sweden instead. The pre-established model of Spilnu seemed to click well with the Swedish audience, and Lyckost also became just as successful. 

The new CEO will use both his savvy and CEGO’s years of experience to push the brand forward.
