Car Falls Through Bally’s Evansville’s Roof

The vehicle, which fell from the garage’s seventh floor, broke through the roof, landing upside-down on the second level of the conference center

An incident has occurred at Bally’s Evansville Casino & Hotel, resulting in the injury of at least one person. According to reports, a part of the building’s roof collapsed after a falling vehicle landed on it.

A Car Fell Through the Roof

According to reports, a car fell through a multi-story parking garage, landing on the roof of Bally’s Evansville’s conference center. The vehicle, which fell from the garage’s seventh floor, broke through the roof, landing upside-down on the second level of the conference center, officials said. Local reports added that the vehicle came to rest on top of an escalator.

While a conference had been taking place at the time of the incident, no one was trapped by the debris. As it turns out, the driver had been injured in the incident. Reports say that he had been able to get out of the vehicle alone but was injured and had to be rushed to Deaconess Midtown, a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.

By breaking through the roof, the car caused a serious water leak. Fortunately, casino officials were quickly able to turn the water off and prevent further damage. Traffic in the area was redirected to ensure that emergency personnel could work undisrupted to prevent further damage.

Upon further inspection, officials learned that a portion of the parking garage’s wall was missing. On social media, one person reported that the parking garage’s uppermost floors had been closed for a long time and that usually, no one went beyond the second floor.

A crane is set to help Bally’s Evansville get the vehicle and debris out.

Casinos Are Not Immune to Incidents

Casino incidents are not unheard of, although most of them usually involve cheaters, criminals and unruly customers rather than collapsing roofs.

Recently, a victim of a shooting that took place in 2022 outside the bestbet Orange Park casino in Florida took the gaming venue to court, alleging that the property did not employ adequate measures to protect its patrons.

A similar lawsuit was filed by another shooting victim who was left paralyzed after getting shot at a Dotty’s branch in Oregon. The woman’s complaint stated that the property falsely promoted the property as a safe space for middle-aged women.

In other news, a former poker dealer was accused of stealing chips from the pot at JACK Cleveland Casino. He faces multiple charges for brеаking casino gaming laws.
