Burnley FC Pens Record Two-Year Front-of-Shirt Deal with 96.com

According to a spokesperson, this deal heralds the arrival of the operator as a major player in the UK’s sports betting sector

Burnley FC, a professional soccer team based in Burnley, Lancashire, England, has unveiled a monumental new deal with operator 96.com. The arrangement, described as a record two-year sponsorship deal, will see 96.com’s logo appear on the Clarets’ jerseys.

As per the deal, the logo will appear on both the men’s and women’s first-team kits. As the official front-of-shirt partner of the club, 96.com will get the opportunity to promote its brand and products to Burnley FC’s fans and soccer aficionados as a whole.

96.com, for context, is a fairly fresh online sportsbook, operated by TGP Europe and in business since 2019. Offering premium sports betting and gaming experiences, the company has experienced rapid growth and, via this deal, will take its expansion a step further.

As the Clarets’ sponsor, 96.com will replace W88, which served as the soccer club’s betting partner for a year.

96.com Wants to Help Burnley Return to the Premier League

While Premier League teams have been moving away from front-of-shirt sponsorship, Stuart Hunt, Burnley’s president of business operations, was excited about the arrangement, calling it a “record commercial deal for the club.”

Hunt was glad to welcome 96.com as the official front-of-shirt partner of the Clarets and said that he has been impressed by the gambling company’s dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction and responsible gaming.

96.com have invested a record commercial fee for Burnley FC while playing in the Championship. With their support, the club will be able to further invest in the club’s infrastructure and football ecosystem, creating the best possible product on and off the pitch.

Hunt concluded that he is excited to welcome 96.com as the latest member of the Burnley FC family and noted that this highlights the club’s commitment to becoming a “global and innovative brand.”

Speaking of brand, the club’s 2024/2025 home kit will be available for purchase in July.

In the meantime, a 96.com spokesperson also weighed in on the matter, praising the tie-up with Burnley FC. According to the spokesperson, this deal heralds the arrival of the operator as a major player in the UK’s sports betting sector.

We firmly believe in the club’s future vision and can’t wait to support the team next season on their quest to return to the Premier League.

However, Burnley’s potential return to the Premier League might mean trouble for the deal, considering the league’s intention to phase out front-of-shirt sponsorships.
