ACR Poker Presents August Schedule with Two Big Venom Tourneys in Sight

Former Americas Cardroom, ACR Poker, continues the action-packed summer with fresh and hot events scheduled for August. 

The headline of the month will be the highly-anticipated $8 Million GTD Mystery Bounty and the $2 Million GTD PLO Venom tournaments that will run in parallel this weekend.

On Sunday, August 4, ACR Poker’s two massive Venom tournaments will display five day 1 options along with a $2,650 buy-in.

Chris Moneymaker: “August Is Shaping Up to Be Epic” 

According to former world champion and ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker, who has his own Sunday Moneymaker Tournament with a $300,000 weekly guarantee of up to $500,000 on the final Sunday of every month as a tribute, the month of August “is shaping up to be epic with lots of big poker action” at the cardroom.

Moneymaker, who won the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, explained The Venom tournament will be “massive” with plenty of low-cost entry options while mentioning the existence of other “great promotions and tournaments this month.”

“There’s something for everyone,” he said. 

Venom Fever satellites will be running until August 18, which means players should have enough time to join the action thanks to the roughly 900 available $2,650 Venom seats for a fraction of the cost via Beast Satellites, Venom Madness Satellites, Mega Satellites, and Direct Satellites for Mystery Bounty Venom. 

There are also 100 PLO Venom Seats guaranteed via Direct Satellites.

Mystery Bounty Venom with $500K Top Knockout Bounty Prize 

The Mystery Bounty Venom’s five Day 1’s will kick off on Sunday and feature a top knockout bounty prize set at $500,000 for players who knock out a player on Day 2 and a $5,000 minimum bounty guaranteed for every knockout. 

Players who make it to Day 2 will receive automatic cash. Multi-entry is also available, allowing gamblers to play multiple Day 1’s, combine their stacks, and boost their chances.

“This is the first time we’ve ever run a Mystery Bounty Venom Tournament, and it’s set to be an unforgettable event,” said ACR.

$400,000 Top Prize for PLO Venom 

The PLO Venom, which is also scheduled to start on Sunday, displays an estimated top prize set at $400,000.

The tournament will feature the 6-max format as well as the largest Pot Limit Omaha tournament in ACR Poker history and the same multi-entry option. 

“This is the first time we’ve ever run a PLO Venom Tournament, making it a historic event for ACR Poker,” commented ACR Poker.

The final tables for Mystery Bounty and Pot Limit Omaha are scheduled for August 20. 

More August Highlights

ACR Poker will also run other important events throughout the month, including the Sunday Moneymaker tournament that will kick off at 1:05 pm ET every Sunday with a $109 buy-in and a $300,000 prize pool that will reach $500,000 on August 25. 

On the same day, players can join the $95 buy-in Beast tournament with 12 guaranteed packages totaling $42,000 total, to the Moneymaker Tour in Aruba.

During the week, ACR Poker will run a Hump Day Reload Bonus with a 50% bonus up to $100 on Wednesdays alongside Big Poker Thursdays with a $400,000 guarantee increase every week and buy-ins starting at $0.11.

Last week’s Big Poker Thursday winner was Chris Moorman, who is also an ACR Pro. The Briton explained it was “great” to go back “into the groove online with a Big Poker Thursday win” after spending the summer playing live.
