888 Named Main Title Sponsor for the Portuguese Grand Prix

888 Holdings, a global sports betting and iGaming group operating from Gibraltar, entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Portuguese Grand Prix to become the title sponsor for the 2021 edition of the race event.

The 2021 edition of the Grand Prix that is set to take place from April 16 to April 18 at the stunning Autodromo Internacional do Algarve will be named the Grande Prémio 888 de Portugal, Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for the event announced.

The series returns to the Losail International Circuit in Qatar on Friday for the second event from the MotoGP’s 2021 calendar, after being restricted from European events in 2020 due to imposed travel protocols to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.

The newly formed sponsorship agreement for the Portuguese Grand Prix expands the portfolio of sports 888 has presence and the group’s visibility to sports fans, following the recently signed deal with League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers to become the main sponsor of the Dublin-based football club for the next 2 seasons.

Besides with the Irish champions, 888 has in place a training kit branding agreement with English Football League (EFL) club from Wales Cardiff City.
