RSI CIO Takes Leave from Company
- Having spent 11 years with Rush Street Interactive, the techie is now leaving in pursuit of new business and career opportunities
Rush Street Interactive has announced the departure of its chief information officer, Einar Roosileht, confirming the move in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and a Form 8-K filing.
RSI Bids Farewell to CIO Veteran
He is leaving the company on amicable terms and as part of mutual consent to terminate his employment. The company wrote:
“Mr Roosileht’s transition was not a result of any disagreement with the company. In connection with the transition, the company has engaged a leading global executive search firm to assist in a comprehensive search process to identify a replacement for Mr Roosileht.”
Both parties emphasized that there was no bad blood or disagreement between the company and one of its longest-standing veterans, with more than 11 years of experience working on various levels in the company.
First joining as chief technology officer in 2013, Roosileht has been an indispensable part of the company’s overall makeup and structure. He then transitioned to become the company’s chief information officer in 2020 and has held the new position since.
Roosileht has enjoyed a strong rapport with the company and has been allowed to work for several other initiatives and companies during his stint with RSI. He also had previous experience working for companies such as Oryx Gaming and Playtech before joining Rush Street Interactive.
Roosileht’s exit will also make him entitled to his compensation through December 31, 2025. He is also entitled to bonuses, as well as stock options.
The departing executive will also stick to employment prerequisites such as non-competing and confidentiality agreements which recently saw an ex-DraftKings employee get into hot water with his former boss over his decision to join the company.
