Kindred Joins Women in Tech Sweden for the Eighth Year in a Row

International gambling powerhouse Kindred has once again signed up as a co-creating partner to Women in Tech Sweden, the Swedish arm of the world’s foremost organization for inclusion, diversity and equity.

As a co-creating partner, Kindred will participate in the Women in Tech conference on April 17 in Stockholm, helping the nonprofit promote its initiatives. This is notably the eighth time in a row the operator has supported Women in Tech Sweden.

The theme for this year’s Women in Tech conference is Connect, Create, Innovate and has the full support of Kindred, which reflects its values. The underlying theme of the conference, set to take place at the Waterfront Congress Center in Sweden’s capital, will “highlight the importance of how every byte of code can carry traces of human essence.”

The initiative has the backing of multiple other influential Swedish businesses who, like Kindred, seek to inspire women to choose and stay in the tech sector. Women in Tech Sweden began in 2014 and has since grown into a community, a platform and a movement. Its annual conference is now the biggest tech conference in Scandinavia.

Unity Is Important

Prachi Arya, Kindred Group’s talent acquisition tech development and women in tech-general, commented on her company’s support of the initiative.

Arya said that some of the reasons Kindred supports Women in Tech Sweden include invaluable networking, conversations and face-to-face meetings. She said that these interactions are something that the Kindred team truly enjoys.

Women in Tech’s director, Åsa Johansen, also expressed her thoughts on the matter, highlighting the importance of unity when it comes to promoting the inclusion of women in the tech sector.

It is so important that we do this together, that we long-term prioritize building teams with a higher diversity of perspectives. Because we know that it helps us develop better and smarter services and products.
