KICK Becomes Everton FC Sleeve Sponsor

Everton FC, a topflight soccer club in the United Kingdom, has accepted KICK, a revolutionary streaming platform, as its sleeve partnership

This is a groundbreaking opportunity for both partners as KICK has been launched as a response to Amazon-owned Twitch, which has been accused of undermining content creator revenue.

KICK Establishes Stronger Presence in Sports

Instead, KICK has a revenue-sharing model which gives back 95% of all proceedings back to streamers. Now, the platform is going to get more eyeballs and raise awareness through the KICK logo which will be part of Everton’s senior men’s team, starting on Saturday, August 5.

Everton and KICK have planned a number of matchday experience activities and activations that will highlight the new alliance and introduce the innovative platform to more people and the club’s fans. The KICK logo will also be part of the team’s digital channels and it will be featured in physical spaces, including Walton Hall Park, Finch Farm, Goodison Park, and more.

Commenting on this opportunity, Everton FC chief commercial and communications officer Richard Keynon welcomed the opportunity to see the platform arrive as part of the team’s list of sponsors and form a new alliance based on love for innovation and bringing fans the best possible matchday experience:

Working with KICK provides us with some fantastic opportunities to reach and engage with new audiences over the course of the coming season and we already have some exciting plans for matchday experiences, starting this week with our fixture against Sporting CP.

KICK has been supported by a number of prominent streamers and personalities, too, which bring even more interest to the platform. Among them are Canadian rapper Drake, streamers xQc, Yassuo and even Hikaru Nakamura, a chess grandmaster.

KICK Is Set to Disrupt the World of Sports

KICK director of acquisition Akhil Sarin was very happy with the opportunity to become a partner for Everton FC. He said that the streaming platform was still young but it was already shaping up as an innovative disruptor. He welcomed the chance to work with Everton FC and bring fans in the soccer community even more worthwhile experiences.

KICK has been actively seeking to establish itself in the sports world, having partnered with Sauber Motorsports’ Formula 1 Esports team, Alfa Romeo F1 Team KICK Esports, and others. Meanwhile, the new shirts featuring KICK’s logo are made available by Fanatics, the sports apparel company that has also launched a sports betting and gaming division and recently bought PointsBet US.
