Horrific Murder Suspect Indicted for Gambling with Stolen Money
According to the claims, he presented himself as a successful investor and tricked victims into investing millions of dollars in his speculation business
A man from Arizona has been indicted of gambling with stolen money. Also believed to be the murderer of a teenage tourist, the man has allegedly scammed investors out of millions of dollars.
A.R. Is Believed to Have Murdered a Teen
The man with the initials A.R. was originally arrested in July 2023. He was suspected of having murdered a local teenager whose body was found dismembered and “burned beyond recognition” in the desert outside Apache Junction.
The victim had been visiting friends in Arizona and had met A.R. in a local club. Surveillance footage from the day of the murder showed the two leave a gas station shortly before the incident. The teenager’s body was discovered soon after his family contacted the authorities after he did not catch his flight home.
A.R. was arrested after authorities detected him using the victim’s bank card. To top it all off, the victim’s blood and DNA were identified in Ruinard’s vehicle. He was charged with possession of drugs and weapons, theft, murder and concealment of a dead body.
As it turns out, this may not have been the suspect’s only big violation of the law.
The Man Allegedly Gambled with Stolen Money
A.R., who was the former owner of the Pastiche Modern Eatery in Tuscon, has now been indicted for an alleged multi-million-dollar fraud. According to the claims, he presented himself as a successful investor and tricked victims into investing millions of dollars in his speculation business.
Instead of multiplying his clients’ money, as agreed, A.R. gambled the money instead and bought himself a $344,000 armored vehicle, authorities said. The original charges were dismissed because of the murder case. Nevertheless, A.R. now faces 19 counts of wire fraud and transactional money laundering.
Latest data suggests that A.R. defrauded 54 or more investors out of at least $5.6 million.
As it turns out. A.R. has a prior track record of crime and has participated in animal cruelty, armed robbery and theft.
In other news, one of the men who are believed to be behind the 2017 shooting at the Casino Queen in Illinois, now known as DraftKings at Casino Queen, is facing a lengthy prison sentence.
