Can the Broncos Keep the Momentum?
Despite starting the 2024 NFL season slowly with two losses, the Broncos are looking good right now. They’re 5-3 overall, coming to Baltimore after two wins in a row. In their most recent game, we saw their quarterback Bo Nix put on his best performance so far.
He did get sacked twice, but he also threw for 3 TDs and had no interceptions. The rookie QB looked incredible with his passes, gaining a total of 75.7 passing yards for his team. Nix also did very well on the ground, making five carries for one TD. It was his fourth rushing TD this season.
The Broncos also did well defensively, conceding just 14 points. It was the sixth time in the 2024 NFL that they conceded under 20 points. Will they be able to do the same against the NFL’s No. 2 offense?
The Ravens Need to Patch Up Their Defensive Holes
The Baltimore Ravens have been awesome when it comes to offense. With 30.3 points per game, their offense is second in the league. That’s no surprise given that they’ve got last season’s MVP Lamar Jackson at QB and Derrick Henry at RB.
The reason why their 2024 record isn’t better than 5-3 is that their defense has been leaky. They’re conceding 26.1 points per game, which makes their defense the seventh worst in the league.
Their secondary looked dreadful in last weekend’s game against the Cleveland Browns. The opposition QB had no problems throwing for 334 yards and three touchdowns, one of which was a 38-yarder.
Denver Broncos vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction
With Bo Nix in such great form, the Broncos are bound to cause problems to the Ravens’ underachieving defense. As a result, we’ll probably see the visitors from Colorado score a couple of touchdowns. However, this doesn’t mean that they’re going to win.
The thing is that the Ravens have such a great offense that no matter how many TDs the Broncos score, Jackson, Henry, and others will score more. Still, they probably won’t score 9+ points more.
Pick: Denver Broncos (+9)
