A lucky player in New Jersey has won the latest Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, taking home some $1.6 million. This comes shortly after two players split an even bigger prize.

The Player Guessed the Five Numbers Correctly

According to the announcement, a ticket purchased in Hudson County matched all five numbers, winning the player a mouth-watering $1,614,930 jackpot. For context, the winning numbers during the October 17 drawing were 1, 16, 25, 43, and 45. The Bullseye and XTRA, on the other hand, stood at 16 and 4, respectively.

This was notably the 53rd Jersey Cash 5 jackpot for the year. As mentioned, the winning ticket was sold in Hudson County, with lottery officials identifying the National Food Store at 75 Bleecker St., Jersey City, as the location that sold the ticket.

The Lottery Crowned Several Jersey Cash 5 Winners in the Past Few Weeks

As mentioned, the win came shortly after two players split a $3.8 million jackpot. These included a player from Camden County and another from Monmouth County.

Last month, on the other hand, the Jersey Cash 5 game crowned several winners back-to-back. These included two players who simultaneously struck a jackpot of $1.2 million on September 19. One of these players had purchased a ticket via Lotto.com, while the other had bought it from a store in Manahawkin. The two players split the prize.

On the following day, a lottery player in Sussex County hit the next jackpot prize. Since the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot was freshly reset, the player took $150,000. Then, on September 21, a player in Union County won the next jackpot, which was also standing at $150,000.

In the meantime, New Jersey lottery VIPs can benefit from Jersey Cash 5’s Another Millionaire promotion. Running through November 1, the promotion will provide players with additional chances to win prizes.
