A lucky Queenslander who recently won a life-changing prize is looking forward to helping his friends and family. That’s the case of one man from Mackay who holds the single winning entry from Oz Lotto’s Tuesday draw. The lucky Australian won the hefty prize of AU$15 million ($9.4 million) and since he holds the single winning entry, he will receive the entire Oz Lotto jackpot.

Oz Lotto Jackpot Makes One Queenslander Multi-Millionaire

Not much else is known about the lucky winner. While The Lott confirmed that the man is from Mackay, Queensland, his identity wasn’t publicly revealed. The winning numbers from Oz Lotto’s draw 1619 on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, were 12, 8, 11, 30, 17, 46 and 18, while supplementary numbers were 24, 37 and 42. The newly minted millionaire used The Lott’s official application to purchase his winning 12-game QuickPick. So far, in FY25, the winning division one entries have reached 316.

On the other hand, in 2024, a total of 17 division one winning entries for Oz Lotto were recorded. Winners collected a total of AU$295 million ($185.6 million) from those division one winning entries. Last year, the largest prize in Oz Lotto’s history was won. This is when a fortunate lottery player from Burra in South Australia scored the game’s mind-blowing AU$50 million ($31.5 million) jackpot.

The latest multi-million-dollar win comes on the heels of another hefty jackpot. Earlier this month, a South Australia resident scored an AU$2,599,857.54. ($1.63 million) win from Saturday X Lotto. The fortunate player held one out of a total of two division one winning entries from the game’s 4545 draw.

Life-Changing Win Comes as a Blessing

Speaking to an official from The Lott, the Oz Lotto winner explained: “Holy f***ing s***! Are you kidding me?! Holy s***! Oh my lord! Oh my lord! I can’t believe it. Holy, holy, holy!” The Mackay man admitted that he was just starting his workday and had no idea that he had won the life-changing prize.

Moreover, the fortunate winner said that he would immediately call his partner and parents to give them the good news. The man said that his mother likes playing the lottery but predicted she won’t believe him when he tells her about the life-changing jackpot.

Focusing on the plans for the windfall, the lottery player said: “I’ll help my friends and family who have been really struggling. I have a few people in mind. I can’t wait to make their lives easier.” Finally, the man said that he still can’t believe his luck and that he is grateful and feels blessed.
