A Connecticut Lottery player has become the recipient of a top prize from one of the lottery’s scratch-off tickets. According to the lottery, the lucky participant was not a local, but a visitor from Massachusetts.

The Player Took Home $100K

A visitor from Massachusetts has claimed one of the top prizes in the Connecticut Lottery’s $10 Jumbo Bucks game, the lottery announced Tuesday. As a result, they will take home a mouth-watering $100,000 prize.

For context, the Jumbo Bucks game requires players to match a set of numbers to a set of winning numbers in order to win. 10X Burst symbols multiply the prize shown tenfold, while Moneyroll, Stack of money, and Moneybag symbols instantly award $200, $100, and $50, respectively. Four star symbols in the bonus field, on the other hand, award $20.

The Connecticut Lottery said that the winner was a resident of Greenfield, Massachusetts, who purchased their winning ticket from Speedigo, located at 436 South Main St. in Middletown.

To put things into perspective, the odds of winning one of the game’s top prizes are roughly 1 in 333,333. The game featured three prizes of $100,000 at launch, all of which have now been claimed. The game has therefore concluded, leaving players until November 1 to redeem their prizes.
