Genetski Steps in as CEO as Howe Steps Down

On May 6, Flutter confirmed that its FanDuel brand will no longer be headed by Amy Howe due to her departure from the company. Howe joined the Flutter family in 2021 and has since played a key role in the expansion of its FanDuel brand.

Flutter added that Christian Genetski, currently serving as president of FanDuel, has been named as her successor. He will be tasked with maintaining the momentum of the FanDuel brand and continuing to execute its growth strategy.

According to the release, Genetski joined FanDuel in 2015 and is therefore intimately familiar with its business. As president, he is currently responsible for the company’s corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, and regulatory affairs.

Genetski furthermore played a pivotal role in the legalization of sports betting across the US and the expansion of FanDuel in the region.

In addition to that, Flutter announced that Dan Taylor, currently serving as CEO of Flutter’s international division, has been named named president of Flutter Entertainment in addition to his current responsibilities. This is notably a newly created role that acknowledges Taylor’s significant contributions to the group. The company noted that the newly appointed president will work closely with Flutter’s CEO, Peter Jackson, to drive further improvements.

The Right Moment for New Leadership

CEO Jackson commented on the leadership shifts, saying that his team felt that this was the “right moment” for new leadership at FanDuel. He thanked Howe for her contributions, which led to a strong period for the brand, and wished her every success in the future.

In the meantime, Jackson said that he is delighted to welcome Genetski as the new CEO of the business, lauding his track record and deep market knowledge. Jackson said that he is looking forward to seeing what Genetski and Taylor achieve together.

Howe commented on her departure, saying that it has been an honor to lead FanDuel for five years and that she feels incredibly proud of where the company is now.

Together, we have established a clear leadership position in the market, strengthened our product and brand, and built strong foundations for future growth. With the business well-positioned for what comes next, I believe this is the right moment to hand over to new leadership to build on that progress and capture the opportunities ahead.
