A woman at the Harry Reid International Airport was apparently in a hurry, but she made a conscious choice to abandon her two-year-old goldendoodle and get on her flight instead.

Both events were her own decision. Germiran Bryson was asked by a JetBlue employee to provide the documents needed to board the plane with her dog, but she was unable to.

The woman then left the dog tied to a JetBlue ticket counter, and police began looking for the owner. Bryson was found at her original flight gate and led away by La as Vegas police officer.

Bryson protested that she had been simply trying to rebook her flight. The police and Bryson had a tense exchange, in which the woman told the officers that she had been told to walk to the gate without her dog and talk about rebooking her flight.

The woman confirmed that this was indeed the case. Then Bryson changed her tune and said that her dog “had a chip,” and it would eventually be reunited with her.

Bryson then became hostile as police wanted to take her back to her dog and take her statement. She eventually had to be led away through a security checkpoint.

The incident resulted in three misdemeanor charges, and as to the dog, it was taken away from its previous owner and sent to the Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas, where it received the name JetBlue.
