Great Canadian Entertainment has revealed that Toronto will play host to its first-ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event. Set to take place from March 22 to April 1, 2024, the prestigious tournament will unfold at the opulent Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, marking a significant milestone for the city’s poker scene.

WSOP Circuit Comes to Great Canadian Toronto with $3.9M Prize Pool

In partnership with GGPoker, the WSOP Circuit will feature eight exhilarating Circuit Ring events, collectively boasting an estimated $3.9 million in prize pools. Among the highlights are the $2,000 Main Event, with an astounding $2.1 million up for grabs, and the $3,500 High Roller event, offering participants a shot at a prize pool exceeding $850,000.

Robert Katsavelos, the general manager of Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, expressed excitement about the upcoming event: “This is a fitting milestone that will create further momentum for our recently opened 30-table poker room at Great Canadian Toronto, Canada’s newest and largest casino resort. We are excited to welcome tournament participants from across the North American poker community and from right here in the City of Toronto and are certain that this event is going to be a huge success.”

GGPoker, renowned for its role in sending players to prestigious poker events worldwide, will exclusively oversee the online qualifying tournaments for the WSOP Circuit at Great Canadian Toronto. 

Local Legend Daniel Negreanu Adds Flair to WSOP Circuit in Toronto

The presence of esteemed poker ambassadors, including local hero Daniel Negreanu, adds to the event’s allure.
