A woman from Shelby “got to hollering” after winning the jackpot from one of the NC Education Lottery’s digital instant games. Her win came shortly after a man from Wanchese won a million dollars from a scratch-off ticket.
Her Family Responded with Dancing Emojis
The NC Education Lottery announced that a lucky grandma of four by the name of Annette Tennal has won a life-changing $676,572 jackpot from one of the lottery’s digital instant games. She was playing Bison Bonanza, staking $10 before winning the top-level Epic Jackpot in the game.
For context, Bison Bonanza allows players to participate with entries ranging from 50 cents to $30. The odds of winning the game’s top prize were 1 in 3.1 million, lottery officials said.
Tennal commented on her win, telling lottery officials that she didn’t know what was going on and started shouting. At first, she couldn’t even believe that her win was real.
I texted some of my family and they sent me back the dancing emojis.
