Mohegan Sun is preparing to kick off the poker summer season with a bang. The property confirmed that its Poker Room will celebrate the occasion with another edition of its beloved Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament.
The Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament Looms
The Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament will begin on Friday, June 12, offering three days of intense Limit Hold’em poker action. The tournament will run through June 14, offering mouth-watering prizes and many opportunities for participants to put their poker skills to the test.
With buy-ins at $400, the Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament promises a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. On-site registrations for the event will be held in the Poker Room each morning. New participants will be welcome to join until the start of level seven.
The tournament will see player start with $25,000 in chips. Another $10 dollar would boost their starting stack with some 5,000 extra chips.
While the Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament promises exciting poker action, it is only a warm-up for what Mohegan Sun has in store for the season. In addition to its daily No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments and Bounty events, the property teased a Juneteenth High Hand Special on June 19 where qualifying players will win prizes every 20 minutes.

Metallica to Play at the Mohegan Sun Arena
In other news, the Mohegan Sun Arena is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary later this year. To mark the occasion, the venue will welcome the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers from Metallica on November 19 and November 21. This will be the first time the group will play at the arena.
The November 19 performance will also feature Suicidal Tendencies as a guest, while the November 21 performance will be joined by Spiritbox.
