Lottery Space Invaders Game Experiences Glitches, Jackpots Were Never Won
- A lottery glitch in Indianapolis is making Space Invaders players believe they have won six-figures
- At least one player thought she had won $100,000 only to find out it was $20
- The Hoosier Lottery has attributed it to a technical issue and asked players to file disputes
Lottery players in Indianapolis, and especially those who have been playing the $5 Space Invaders Cash Invasion Scratch-off, may find this news hard to comprehend – a recent big amount you have won may have occurred due to a technical glitch, and the lottery will have to void it.
The technical issue cited by the Hoosier Lottery was not broken down in detail; however, media outlets were able to track down at least one person who mistakenly thought that they had won a six-figure sum.
FOX59’s Angela Ganote said she was among the people to have played $5 Space Invaders Cash Invasion Scratch-off and supposedly secure a $100,000 win. However, upon scanning the ticket, there was a significant mismatch between the sum displayed on the ticket and the screen.
According to the scan, she only won $20. The lottery has moved quickly to address the situation, arguing in a disclaimer that players who wish to dispute the mismatch between how much they have won on the ticket and after scanning the ticket may do so by filing an official form with the lottery or directly contacting it.
