Texas Authorities Execute 21 Warrants in Illegal Gambling Case in Houston Area

The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force carried out 21 warrants related to suspected organized criminal activity and money laundering connected to the gambling rooms in Houston, Texas. Authorities said the warrants were part of an effort to disrupt and dismantle an ongoing illegal gambling operation in the area and nearby communities.
Houston Saw Dozens of Warrants Executed in Illegal Gambling Case
At the time of writing of this article, authorities have not announced any arrests, filed criminal charges, or disclosed what evidence, if any, was seized during the raids. Officials said more details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
According to authorities, seven of the search warrants were executed at game rooms believed to be linked to the suspected operation. The searches targeted businesses located along Interstate 45 in La Marque, as well as properties on Lake Road, Main Street, State Highway 3, and Highway 6 inAlvin.
Seven of the 21 warrants were conducted in the following game rooms:
- Gold Chest – 5307 IH-45, La Marque, Texas
- Pig Pen – 5309 IH-45, La Marque, Texas
- TJ’s – 4320 IH-45, La Marque, Texas
- Rusty’s – 228 Lake Road, La Marque, Texas
- Purple Building – 1002 Main Street, La Marque, Texas
- Double Diamond – 116 State Highway 3, La Marque, Texas
- 24/7 – 22430 W. Highway 6, Alvin, Texas
Where Else Did Police Search?
Aside from the warrants conducted in the above-mentioned gaming rooms, authorities also went to several other addresses that are allegedly linked to the case. Two related search warrants in Fort Bend County were executed at 202 Industrial Boulevard, Suite 806, and 5200 block of Kendall Ridge Lane, Sugar Land. The locations included a residence linked to the owner and operator of the Gold Chest game room, as well as a warehouse investigators believe was used to store and distribute illegal gambling machines.
As part of the investigation’s financial probe, detectives also executed 12 search warrants at multiple financial institutions to gather records and evidence related to the suspected operation. Members of the Organized Crime Task Force, along with personnel from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit, remained at multiple locations Tuesday as investigative activities continued.
Several agencies assisted with the operation, including the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, League City Police Department, and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
