Michigan Lottery Introduces Changes to Daily Spin to Win Game
- The Michigan Lottery has drastically reduced the number of entries for its Daily Spin to Win Game
- The change was enacted for bookkeeping reasons and to reduce the monthly drawing file
- The lottery prefers the smaller file size, a spokesperson for the Michigan Lottery told the press
The Michigan Lottery has introduced tweaks to its Daily Spin to Win online game, which offers players a chance to compete for a monthly $5,000 cash giveaway and that can be played once a day.
The lottery has significantly reduced the number of entries that players may secure, now moving them to one, five, and 20 from previously 10, 100, and 1,000.
The change was necessitated mostly for bookkeeping reasons, with the lottery citing the monthly drawing file as the reason, as confirmed by Michigan Lottery spokesperson Jake Harris.
The file, added Harris, now contains tens of millions of entries as opposed to hundreds of millions of entries, and said that the smaller file size is preferred.
“The update was made due to a change in the way drawings are administered. We are using an updated program to run the random drawings, and the smaller drawing file size is preferred,” Harris concluded.
