IGT’s PlaySports to Power Oneida Sportsbook in Wisconsin

Global supplier of gaming solutions International Game Technology (IGT) announced that it entered into an agreement with the Oneida Nation to power its sportsbook at Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

PlaySports Expands into Wisconsin

The agreement with the Oneida Nation that will allow IGT’s PlaySport retail and mobile sports betting platform to expand its presence into another US gaming jurisdiction was announced shortly after the updated gaming compact of the tribe received approval by the Department of the Interior (DOI).

The Oneida Nation became the first Wisconsin tribe to receive approval to offer sports betting at its properties. The Oneida Casino located on the Oneida Nation Reservation in Green Bay is set to be the first tribal venue to launch retail and mobile wagering on sports.

Following in the footsteps of the operator of Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, LA, the Coushatta Tribe, which signed an agreement with IGT in July to utilize PlaySports at the state’s largest casino, the Oneida Nation is the latest Indian tribe to partner with the technology supplier for its turnkey sports betting solution.

Other Recent Partnerships

In June, IGT expanded into another state via an agreement with the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe, operator of Dakota Magic Casino and Hotel in Hankinson, ND.

Also in June, the newly opened casino resort in Las Vegas, Resorts World Las Vegas, teamed with IGT to power its retail sportsbook and state-wide mobile betting app with the PlaySports wagering solution.

In July, PlaySports entered Washington after an agreement with Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie will allow the land-based gaming facility that is the closest to Seattle to offer sports betting via IGT’s turnkey betting solution.

Last month, IGT signed a multi-year agreement with Flutter Entertainment-owned brand FanDuel to power FanDuel Sportsbooks across the US through September 2024. Under the agreement, FanDuel will offer IGT PlayDigital’s PlayCasino games to online players as part of its iGaming offering.
