Betsson Management: Svensson & Saliba In, Jabin & Glasfors Out

Betsson AB has restructured its leadership, adding two new roles, appointing Triin Toomemets-Krasnitski as CLO, and removing Amandus Jabin and Roland Glasfors from the management team

Nasdaq Stockholm Large Cap-listed engaged owner of fast-growing companies in the online gaming industry, Betsson AB, has announced a series of changes in its group management team

Namely, the group with a bold ambition “to grow faster than the market, organically and through acquisitions” has selected two new roles to form part of management.

The two positions are operational chief executive officer and operational chief financial officer

The first has been attributed to Jesper Svensson while Kristian Saliba will carry the second.

“Long Background in the Group”

The group that considers growth “should be generated in a profitable and sustainable manner” chose the two for their “long background in the group in these roles.”

Jesper Svensson brings over a decade of experience at Betsson since he joined the Malta branch in 2013.

Ever since, he has held pivotal roles, including chief commercial officer in 2015 and chief executive officer two years later.

His leadership has been instrumental in driving the company’s commercial success.

Joining Svensson on the group management team is Karl Saliba, a long-standing Betsson veteran with 17 years of tenure

Saliba began his journey with the company as a financial controller in 2008 and advanced to chief financial officer of operations in 2012

His extensive experience in financial management will strengthen Betsson’s strategic objectives.

Toomemets-Krasnitski As New CLO, Jabin and Glasfors Out

In addition, Triin Toomemets-Krasnitski has officially assumed the role of chief legal officer

A part of Betsson since 2013, Toomemets-Krasnitski has steadily climbed the ranks, transitioning from senior legal counsel to head of legal in 2016, and later becoming vice president of legal in 2018.

As part of the leadership restructuring, Amandus Jabin and Roland Glasfors have exited the group management team but will continue to contribute to Betsson in their current roles.

Jabin, vice president of global tax, has been with the company since 2012, while Glasfors joined as vice president of communications and investor relations in 2022.

The company’s longstanding leaders, Pontus Lindwall and Martin Öhman, will continue in their roles as president/CEO and CFO, respectively.

Lindwall, who first took on the CEO position in 1998, has played a significant role in Betsson’s growth.

Despite a brief dismissal in 2021 under controversial circumstances, Lindwall was reinstated following strong opposition from shareholders and industry stakeholders.

This move underscored his influence and leadership within the company.

CFO Martin Öhman has been with Betsson since 2019, overseeing financial operations and contributing to the company’s strategic growth.

With this refreshed leadership lineup, Betsson, which was granted a license in France in September 2023 after entering Belgium via a €120 million ($130.6 million) betFIRST acquisition in June of the same year, aims to leverage the expertise of its seasoned executives to navigate future challenges.
