Sportradar, a leading provider of sports technology, announced the appointment of the experienced Sameer Deen as its new chief operating officer. The appointee was described as an industry veteran with a gaming career spanning some 25 years.
Deen Brings 25 Years of Experience to the Company
According to the announcement, Deen, who will serve as Sportradar’s new COO, will step into the office on May 18, 2026. In this position, he will report directly to CEO Carsten Koerl.
As the provider’s new COO, Deen will be tasked with overseeing the company’s commercial and group operations. He will work closely with the company’s executive leadership team to ensure Sportradar’s continued growth.
As mentioned, Deen is no stranger to the gaming industry and has served the sports betting, media, and digital commerce industries for some 25 years. His most recent role was as chief commercial officer & president of the international betting and gaming giant Entain. During his time with that business, Deen helped it expand its commercial footprint, while driving operational efficiencies.
Deen also spent time as chief digital officer and senior vice president of digital at media company Univision Communications. His prior experience includes time in leadership positions at the US media company Scripps Networks Interactive.
The appointment of Deen as Sportradar’s new COO is in line with its strategy to reinforce its leading position as a go-to supplier of sports solutions.

CEO Carsten Koerl welcomed the appointee to the Sportradar family, saying that the entire Sportradar team is thrilled to have him on board.
